What is device management?

Software that lets us set up, update and secure every work laptop, phone and tablet from one place. Without it, you rely on each person to update and protect their own device, which is where most gaps start.

What tools do you use?

Microsoft Intune for Windows and Android, which is included in Microsoft 365 Business Premium. For Macs, iPhones and iPads we use Jamf Pro alongside Intune, so you still get one view of every device.

Can staff use their own phones?

Yes. We protect the work apps on the phone rather than taking over the whole device. If someone leaves, we remove only the work data.

Does this help with the Essential Eight?

Yes. Patching applications, patching operating systems and application control are three of the eight strategies, and device management is how they get done and evidenced.

Do you work outside Brisbane?

Yes. Devices are managed over the internet, so a business anywhere in Australia gets the same setup and the same engineers. New laptops can be shipped ready to go.

Updates happen without asking staff

Windows, macOS, iOS and app updates are pushed on a schedule. Nobody has to remember, and nobody can put them off forever.

A lost laptop is not a breach

Every device is encrypted. If one is lost or stolen, we lock it or wipe it remotely, often before anyone could get into it.

New starters are ready on day one

A new laptop signs in, pulls down its apps and settings and is ready to work. No one has to set it up by hand.

Personal phones stay personal

Staff can read work email on their own phone. If they leave, we remove the work apps and data and leave their photos alone.

You can prove it

One report shows every device, whether it is up to date and encrypted. Useful for insurers, auditors and Essential Eight.
