Automation

Stop paying people to copy and paste.

New starters set up by hand. Reports rebuilt every Monday. The same details typed into three systems. We automate that work inside your own Microsoft 365, test it with your team, and keep it running.

Built in your tenant, owned by you, watched by us.

  • Built in your Microsoft 365
  • Alerts and a fallback
  • You own it

What changes

The busywork that goes away.

Four jobs we automate most.

New starters on day one

Account, mailbox, Teams, licences and folders from one form, and off the same way.

  • One form
  • Same day
  • Leavers too

Automation payback calculator

Is this task worth automating?

Your numbers, our rate. Hours saved against build cost.

Pick one repetitive task. Put in your own numbers to see the hours it eats and how fast automating it pays back.

Minutes each time
Times a week, per person
People who do it
Hourly cost of their time ($)
Your guess at hours to build

Each year

320 hours

  • Worth about $17,600 of staff time a year.
  • A 12-hour build at $195 an hour ex GST is about $2,340.
  • Pays for itself in about 1.6 months.

Based on 48 working weeks. Licence costs, if any, are extra and we tell you before we build.

How we actually do it

Four steps, and you choose what gets built.

  • Watch the workWe sit with the people doing it and write down how it really happens.
  • Pick what's worth itHours each task takes against what automating it costs. You choose.
  • Build and testIn your Microsoft 365, mostly with Power Automate, tested with your team.
  • Hand over and supportWritten notes, a named owner on your side, and fixes when things change.

Built to fail safely

Every automation can break. Ours say so.

  • Alerts on failureTo us and your named contact.
  • A manual fallbackWritten down, so the work still gets done.
  • Your accounts, not oursBuilt under your tenant, not a personal login that leaves with someone.

When this is the wrong choice

When automation isn't the answer.

  • The process isn't settledAutomating a messy process just makes mess faster. Fix it first.
  • It happens once a quarterThe build may never pay back. The calculator will tell you.
  • It needs judgement every timeThat's a person's job, maybe with AI help, not a flow.

Mistakes we see

Why home-built automations fail.

  • Built under one person's accountThey leave, it stops.
  • No failure alertsIt stopped weeks ago and nobody knew.
  • No notesNobody can fix it when something changes.
  • Premium connectors discovered lateLicence costs nobody budgeted for.
  • Automating the wrong task firstHard, rare jobs before easy, frequent ones.

Questions

What people ask about automation.

What should we automate first?

The task that happens most often and needs the least judgement. For most businesses that's setting up new starters and removing leavers, then recurring reports. They follow clear rules and the time saved is easy to measure.

Do we need extra Microsoft licences?

Often not. Plenty of useful automation runs on what your Microsoft 365 plan already includes. Some connections to other systems need a Power Automate Premium licence, and we tell you before we build.

What happens when an automation breaks?

It alerts us and your named contact, and there's a written manual fallback so the work still gets done. We own it until it's fixed.

Can you connect our industry software?

Usually, if it can share data with other systems or import and export files on a schedule. If it can't, we say so rather than build something fragile.

Who owns the automation if we leave?

You do. Everything is built in your Microsoft 365, under your accounts, and handed over with notes.

What does it cost?

Each automation is quoted after we watch the work, at our project rate of $195 an hour ex GST. The calculator above shows whether a task is worth it.

Next step

What does your team still do by hand?

Tell us the task. We'll tell you whether it's worth automating, what it costs and how long it takes to pay back.
