Support for your IT team
You have an IT person. They cannot do it all.
Your IT team knows your business. But one or two people cannot run the helpdesk, deliver a migration, cover leave and stay across security all at once.
We add senior engineers where your team needs them, work in your tools and hand back the know-how. Your team stays in charge.
What changes
When these moments come, your team is not on its own.
A big project lands on a small team
A Microsoft 365 move, a new office network, a server retirement. We supply the engineers for the project, and your team keeps the day-to-day running.
Your IT person goes on leave
We cover the helpdesk and the systems while they are away, using your processes and your ticketing system.
Something needs a specialist
Security hardening, firewalls, identity or backup design. We bring the depth your team does not need full time.
Things break after hours
Our engineers pick up the calls your team cannot cover at night and on weekends, and hand back in the morning.
What happens
How we work alongside your team.
- 01
Agree the split
We sit down with your IT lead and write down who owns what. No overlap, no gaps.
- 02
Get access
We work in your systems and tools, with our own named accounts so every change is traceable.
- 03
Do the work
Our engineers work alongside your team and document as they go.
- 04
Hand it back
When a project ends, your team gets the notes and the know-how, not a dependency.
The questions we get asked the most.
- What is co-managed IT?
- You keep your own IT staff, and we add engineers where they need help. That might be a project, specialist skills, holiday cover or after-hours support. Your team stays in charge of your systems.
- Will you try to replace our IT team?
- No. The point is to make your team stronger. We agree who owns what at the start and we document our work so your people learn from it.
- Do we have to use your tools?
- No. We work in your ticketing system and your tools. Where you do not have something, we can suggest what we use.
- Is there a lock-in contract?
- No. Like all Real Bytes services there is no lock-in contract, and you are billed in arrears.
- Do you work outside Brisbane?
- Yes. Most of the work is done remotely, with people in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Albury for on-site visits. A business in any Australian city gets the same engineers.
Where is your team stretched?
Tell us what is on your team's plate. We will tell you honestly where extra hands would help and where they would not.
