Your team is already using AI.
The question is whether you know how.
ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini are already sitting inside most Australian workplaces. Score your maturity across adoption, governance and security in 10 minutes. Walk away with a custom report and a clear list of what to fix first.

Why now
The biggest economic shift since the internet is already underway.
AI is the sixth wave of industrial innovation. It is bigger, faster and harder to opt out of than anything before it. Your competitors, suppliers and clients are all moving on it at once. Sitting it out is not a strategy.

Leading AI platforms we work with
Where you actually are
AI is already inside your business. Most owners don't know how deep.
The shift from 'should we use AI?' to 'how do we use AI safely?' happened in 18 months. Here is what the latest Australian and global data actually says.
64%
of Australian SMBs
now use AI regularly, up from 39% in mid 2024. 84% have at least experimented with it.
AI Lab Australia 2026 State of AI Adoption
46%
of AI-using businesses
don't measure the impact of AI at all. Only 21% check if objectives were met.
AI Lab Australia 2026 State of AI Adoption
6.2%
of Australian job postings
mentioned AI in February 2026, nearly double the 3.3% a year earlier.

60%
of AI adopters
are still at the basic, ad-hoc stage. Only 5% have made AI part of core strategy.

Shadow AI is the new shadow IT. Only faster, and harder to see.
Staff are pasting customer records, contracts, board papers and source code into free AI tools to 'just get the task done'. Most don't realise that data leaves the business the moment they hit enter.
- Personal information pasted into public AI tools without consent
- AI-generated content published without review or fact-checking
- Confidential commercial data used to train someone else's model
- No acceptable use policy. No record of who is using what.

The pattern we see
"We didn't know our team was using ChatGPT. We found out when a client asked why their pricing sheet appeared in an AI-generated proposal we'd never written."
An Australian professional services firm. 22 staff. No AI policy. No restrictions in place. The data had already left the building.
Know the ground
The vocabulary and the players, in plain English.
You can't govern what you can't name. Two short references for the next board meeting, board paper, or supplier conversation.
Eight terms you will hear constantly. No marketing fluff.
Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT)
AI that creates new content from your input. It draws on data it was trained on and uses learning models to interpret what you ask and respond in kind.
Frontier models
The newest, largest and most capable AI models at the front of research and development. Usually the ones in the news.
Large language models (LLMs)
AI programs that analyse enormous volumes of text to understand natural language and respond in a way that mimics a human.
AI prompt
The input or request you give an AI so it can respond. Quality of the prompt drives quality of the answer.
Grounding
How AI tools cite the sources behind their response, such as an article, document or webpage. Critical for trust and fact-checking.
Bias
When AI output is skewed, wrong or offensive. Usually traces back to flawed training data or biased human feedback during training.
Hallucinations
When an AI invents incorrect information and presents it as fact. Caused by bad data, misreading the prompt, or gaps in what it knows.
Hugging Face
Open-source community for building, training and sharing AI models. A useful starting point for anyone exploring custom or private AI.
What's at stake
AI is reshaping the threat surface, the law, and what your insurer asks about.
Attackers use the same tools you do. Regulators are catching up. Both shifts are happening at the same time, and they both land on your business.
The Australian Signals Directorate's 2024-25 Annual Cyber Threat Report flagged AI-augmented phishing, voice cloning and faster vulnerability exploitation as material threats for Australian SMBs.
Faster exploitation
AI-powered automation generates working exploit code and obfuscates malware. The window between disclosure and active attack has shrunk from weeks to hours.
Smarter phishing
Adversaries craft phishing that mirrors your tone, references real internal projects, and slips past signature-based filters.
Targeted recon
AI profiles staff, suppliers and public footprint in minutes. Spear-phishing and business email compromise are now low-skill attacks.

The assessment
Ten minutes. Six dimensions. A report you'll actually use.
The assessment covers the same six areas we work through with new clients. The output is directly actionable, not an abstract heat map you file in a drawer.
What you'll learn
Direct AI use
Where staff actively use ChatGPT, Copilot or Gemini for writing, research, analysis and code. Visibility comes before control.
Indirect AI use
AI embedded inside your existing stack: CRM, Microsoft 365, accounting, marketing platforms. The sprawl you didn't sign off on.
Public vs private AI
When a public model is fine, when you need a private deployment, and exactly how your data leaves the building in each case.
Governance and guardrails
Acceptable use policy, application controls, and how you stop prompts and uploads exposing sensitive data.
AI-enhanced threats
Where attackers use AI against you: phishing, voice cloning, deepfakes, faster reconnaissance, automated exploit code.
Cyber stack readiness
Whether your underlying stack (MFA, EDR, SIEM, backup, awareness training) is strong enough to absorb AI-era risk.
Optional, after the assessment
