RealBytes Flex

Plus ad hoc support at the standard rate
- The full managed stack per user, same as Advantage and Ultimate
- Support billed at the standard hourly rate, no commitment
- No committed hours, no minimum spend, no block to manage
- Call when you need us, pay for the time you use
- Step up to Advantage or Ultimate any time your needs change
- Same Brisbane engineers, same stack, same team
How billing works
Pay for what you use
The managed stack starts from $150 per user per month, billed monthly and quoted based on your environment. Anything outside the stack is ad hoc support, billed at the standard hourly rate and invoiced after the work is done. No committed hours, no minimum spend, no block to manage. You call when you need us and pay for the time you use.
Step up to Advantage or Ultimate any time if your needs change.
The Flex layer
Flex is the right starting point if your support needs are irregular. But if any of these sound like you, the next level up is usually a better fit.
Advantage is usually better if
- You are calling us more than a couple of times a month
- You want one predictable monthly bill instead of variable invoices
- You want priority in the queue and proactive check-ins
Ultimate is usually better if
- You want unlimited support with no hour counting
- You need compliance certifications like SMB1001 or Essential Eight
- You want a dedicated account manager and quarterly reviews

3-month minimum term, then month to month. Prices in AUD. Per-user stack rate quoted based on your environment.
The full managed stack, per user.
The same SaaS stack across Flex, Advantage and Ultimate. Microsoft 365, security, backup, compliance tooling and hosting, all included in your per-user rate. The difference between the plans is how support is billed, not what is in the stack.
Microsoft 365 Business Premium
The full Microsoft suite for every user: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint, plus Intune device management and Entra ID security.
Microsoft Defender for Business
Enterprise-grade endpoint protection on every device, configured and tuned by us so it actually catches things instead of nagging your team.
Managed device care
Every laptop and desktop monitored, patched and maintained. We spot problems and sort them out before they turn into helpdesk calls.
Huntress managed EDR (24/7 MDR)
A real security operations centre watching your devices around the clock. If something malicious lands, a human analyst isolates it and kicks it out.
Huntress managed ITDR
Round-the-clock protection for your Microsoft 365 identities. Catches stolen logins, sneaky inbox rules and session hijacks before your email gets turned against you.
Security awareness training
Ongoing phishing simulations and short, practical modules. Your team becomes part of your defence instead of your weakest link, and you get the training records compliance wants.
Managed DMARC, SPF and DKIM
We set up and watch your email authentication so your messages land in inboxes, not spam, and scammers cannot send email pretending to be your business.
Keeper password manager
Enterprise password management for the whole team. Secure vaults, controlled sharing, breach monitoring and dark web alerts, all managed by us.
Cloud backup
Your Microsoft 365 data backed up independently. Deleted, corrupted or encrypted by ransomware, we can bring it back cleanly.
Compliance management (Inforcer)
Automated compliance tracking, policy management and evidence collection. Your security paperwork stays audit-ready without the spreadsheet nightmare.
Web hosting and domain
Fast, Australian-hosted website hosting with SSL included, and your business domain renewed every year on us.
This is what Flex looks like on top of the managed stack. Pay-as-you-go support, no commitment, and the flexibility to step up when your needs change. Everything below is included in your Flex plan on top of the managed stack.
Support at the standard hourly rate
No committed hours, no block to manage. You call when you need us and we bill for the time you use at the standard pay-as-you-go rate. Invoiced after the work is done, no upfront commitment.
No minimum spend
Some months you barely call IT. That is fine. You pay the per-user stack rate every month, and support only when you use it. No minimum hours, no block to burn through, no paying for support you did not need.
Call when you need us
Reactive support, same Brisbane engineers, same stack. You log a ticket or pick up the phone and we sort it out. No proactive check-ins or priority queue, just straightforward help when you need it.
Step up to Advantage or Ultimate any time
If your usage becomes regular and predictable, step up to Advantage for committed hours at a better rate. If you want unlimited support with no hour counting, Ultimate is the move. No penalty, no re-onboarding, just a conversation about what fits.
The managed stack, without the support commitment.
Not every business needs unlimited support or a committed block of hours. Some months you barely call IT, other months the phone does not stop. Flex gives you the full managed stack per user, Microsoft 365, security, backup, compliance tooling and hosting, and bills support at the standard hourly rate when you actually use it. No committed hours, no minimum spend, no paying for support you might not need.
If your usage is regular and predictable, Advantage brings the rate down with committed hours. If you want unlimited support with no hour counting, Ultimate is the move. Flex is for businesses that want the stack and the flexibility to call when they need us.
Paying for a monthly support plan when you only call IT a few times a month
Locked into committed hours when your usage is too irregular to predict
IT providers pushing you onto a plan when pay-as-you-go suits your business
No flexibility to step up or down as your needs change
Wanting the managed stack without the support commitment
The honest fine print
We would rather you read this before you sign than be surprised after.
Per-user stack, pay-as-you-go support, no commitment.
The managed SaaS stack is billed per user, quoted based on your environment. Support is billed at the standard hourly rate after the work is done. There is no committed hours block, no minimum spend, and no upfront support payment. You pay the stack rate every month and support only when you use it.
Support billed at the standard hourly rate.
Every support request is billed at the standard pay-as-you-go rate, invoiced after the work is completed. There is no discount on Flex. If you want a better rate, Advantage brings the hourly rate down by $10 per hour with a committed block of hours each month.
Business hours, remote first.
Support is delivered remotely, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm AEST. After-hours, on-site and 24/7 support are available when you need them, at our standard rates or as part of an agreed uplift.
Onboarding and offboarding are included.
Setting up a new starter or securing a leaver is part of the plan, not a billable extra. We handle account creation, device enrolment, security configuration and access revocation. Hardware itself is billed separately at cost plus our standard margin.
The managed stack is included.
Microsoft 365 Business Premium, Defender for Business, Huntress MDR and ITDR, security awareness training, managed DMARC, Keeper, cloud backup, Inforcer compliance, hosting and domain are all included for every user from day one.
ThreatLocker, Check Point and AI are Ultimate-only.
Application control, enterprise email security gateway and AI workforce enablement are not included in Flex. They are part of the Ultimate plan. If you need them, we will tell you and point you at the right tier.
Projects are quoted separately.
Day-to-day help, fixes, questions and maintenance are billed at the hourly rate. Bigger one-off jobs like office relocations, new website builds, data migrations or rolling out a brand new system are quoted separately, always before we start.
No priority queue.
Flex requests are handled in the standard queue. Advantage and Ultimate clients get priority over Flex. If you need faster response or priority handling, step up to Advantage or Ultimate.
Backups are included and tested.
Cloud backup covers your Microsoft 365 data (email, OneDrive and SharePoint). Backups are immutable, so ransomware cannot touch them, and we run test restores so we know they work before you need them.
Security training runs all year.
Huntress security awareness training runs continuously. Short modules and simulated phishing emails keep the team sharp and give you the evidence you need for SMB1001, Essential Eight and cyber insurance applications.
Fair use applies.
If usage patterns look like the plan is being shared beyond the agreed user count, we will have a friendly chat about the right plan for you.
Standard hosting and domain.
Includes hosting for one standard business website and renewal of one standard domain (such as .com.au or .com). High-traffic sites, online stores or premium domains may need an upgraded plan.
Hardware is not included.
We will recommend, source and set up hardware for you, but the gear itself is billed at cost plus our standard margin. No mark-up surprises.
Third-party software beyond the stack.
Licences for software outside the included list (Xero, Adobe, industry-specific apps) stay on your account. We will still help your team use them day to day.
3-month minimum, then month to month.
Cancel any time after that with 30 days notice. Your data, domain and Microsoft tenancy are yours and leave with you, no lock-in.
